STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking (Education Closet, 2016) This workshop will assist teachers with integrating STEAM into their current classroom setting. Upon completion, students of the workshop will: understand the importance of STEAM in the core classroom setting, select possible lessons to integrate into their classrooms, develop a STEAM lesson plan and assessment rubric for the lesson, implement a STEAM lesson and reflect upon the successes/difficulties of that lesson.
