Summer Tuition Assistance

Summer Arts Programs

Available to Lorain County residents.

Through generous support from the Nord Family Foundation and Nordson Corporation Foundation, limited tuition assistance opportunities are available to Lorain County residents for CAS Summer Arts Programs. To apply, students should complete the online registration and indicate they are interested in tuition assistance. A coupon code will be provided to waive the deposit and, if applicable, the audition fee.

In addition to the online registration, a teacher recommendation form is required to complete your application. Applicants will be asked to indicate in the application which teacher will complete the recommendation form on their behalf.

Campers interested in tuition assistance will be notified of their award on a rolling basis beginning in March, 2024. Typical scholarship amounts range from 25%-75% coverage of camp fees. Tuition assistance opportunities are limited and applicants are encouraged to submit their registration as early as possible.

Koch Scholarship

Available to CAS Private Lesson Students in Grades 10 – 12

High school students, grades 10-12, enrolled in private music lessons through CAS are eligible for the Koch Scholarship awards, up to an amount of $300. Consideration for the award is based on the student's musical abilities, dedication to musical pursuits, participation in BW CAS programs, and financial need. Once awarded, the Koch Scholarship will be applied directly to the student’s spring semester lessons.

Joyce and Frederick Koch were highly esteemed musicians in Cleveland and longtime supporters of the BW Community Arts School; we are honored to continue their support of quality music education through this award.

Funding Partners

Through the support of Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, the Nord Family Foundation, and the Nordson Corporation, the BW Community Arts School is able to provide summer arts experiences for students with limited financial means.
