Lauren Scotta

Director of Community STEM Initiatives

Lauren Scotta, who holds a Master of Education from Ursuline College and a Bachelor of Science from Ohio University’s Scripps College of Communication, has established herself as a respected educator, administrator, and STEM professional. In her most recent roles, she served as a Pre-k-12 grade gifted and testing administrator, an elementary teacher, and a Strategic Initiative Consultant in Community STEM Initiatives with Baldwin Wallace University’s Division of Community Learning. Lauren’s extensive background in the STEM field includes a STEM Certification, as well as working as a Space Grant Liaison for NASA, collaborating with colleges and universities, and serving as a NASA educator intern responsible for designing curriculum and materials to foster increased student participation. Additionally, she has held the position of STEM Director for the Camp Invention summer program. Alongside her educational expertise, Lauren brings marketing and communications experience to her diverse skill set. She was honored as an Ohio University Communications Fellow in 2019 and recognized as a Celebrate Teaching Distinguished Educator in Ohio in 2015, as well as being named NewsChannel 5 Teacher of the Week.
