Find more information about the types of athletic and recreation camps we offer below. Youth camps are typically run in the summer, while prospect camps run year around, depending on the sport. We also offer an Outdoor Recreation camp for youth each summer.

Youth Skills Camps & Clinics

The Baldwin Wallace Community Athletics & Recreation department provides youth athletes the opportunity to build and improve their foundational skills in a safe, competitive, and entertaining environment. They will benefit from the hands on and one-on-one training from both elite college coaches and athletes.

Not only do youth camps allow kids to improve their athletic abilities, but they also have the opportunity to socialize and compete with other kids. Additional benefits include building confidence and independence, teamwork skills, and problem solving & strategic thinking capabilities.

Prospect Camps

The Baldwin Wallace Community Recreation department offers prospect camps for multiple sports. Prospect camps are a great way for high school athletes that are interested in playing a sport in college to showcase their abilities & skills, as well as gain an edge in getting recruited by college coaches. High school athletes have the opportunity to improve their skills while working & competing with other college athletes.

Not only do they receive instruction from our elite college coaches, but they also get the chance to work with & speak to our current college athletes. Many of our prospect camps include lunch with an athletes panel, so they have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the college athlete experience.

Outdoor Recreation

Run by our BW Lou Higgins Recreation Center staff, the Community Athletics & Recreation department offers a Youth Adventure Sport camp each summer. The full-day camp for campers in 3rd through 8th grade is filled with activities ranging from kayaking and paddle boarding to hiking, survival skills, archery, team games, racquetball, badminton, birdie golf, ultimate Frisbee, swimming, skills drills, disc golf, slacklining, yoga, and more!

Campers will learn problem-solving skills, work together in groups, and receive instruction in all areas the camp covers. Each day provides a varied schedule of activities for the campers to participate in.
