BW Yellow Jackets Cheer Team camps/clinics focus on the skills necessary for developing effective Game Day Cheer Athletes! Game Day Cheer Athletes' role is to rally the community around the event to which they are assigned: athletic game, pep rally, parade, homecoming, etc. To effectively lead from the field, cheer athletes should be familiar with the game/event they are supporting and how to best utilize their skills to rally excitement, spirit and pride throughout the event. Athletes will learn motions, jumps, sign usage, chants, half-time cheer, and band chant (sideline dance). We will then integrate these skills into event scenarios.

(NOTE: Tumbling is an integral part of the skills needed for high school and college Game Day Cheer Athletes, but due to safety reasons, we will not teach these skills. Coach G highly recommends enrolling your child as soon as possible at an accredited tumbling facility.)

Our cheer camps and clinics are held at Lou Higgins Center.
