Teaching has always been a passion of mine. There is no greater feeling than seeing what students are able to do with the skills they learn, and in computer science students have the ability to make a profound impact with these skills. In the classroom I encourage students to question why things are the way they are, because the computer science field is constantly changing and today’s solutions may not solve tomorrow’s problems. With experience in the industry in several different computing areas, I enjoy providing students with real-world examples and experiences. I also enjoy involving students in research projects where they can make significant contributions as undergraduate students. Our computer science programs combine a blend of theory and practical applications with small class sizes, so the students in our programs are well prepared to solve today’s and tomorrow’s problems.
