Private Dance Lessons
Dancers may enroll in private lessons to receive one-on-one instruction and coaching from a Community Arts School faculty member. Dance private lessons are a great way for students to supplement their dance education. The individual attention allows students to get specialized technical application specific to their needs. Our experienced dance faculty instructors plan each private lesson to maximize the potential of the individual dancer. The lessons focus on technique development, artistic quality, strength, flexibility, and specific skills appropriate for the age and level of the individual dancer. They are wonderful tools to progress technique at an increased pace, get additional help on a specific skill, and get feedback when preparing for an audition.
Lessons are offered on campus at many times during the week with most of them occurring in the weekday afternoons, weekday evenings and weekends. Students typically enroll in lessons that meet once a week for a half-hour for the full semester. The Community Arts School offers a rolling admission where students may enroll at any time during the semester.
Dance lessons are available in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, choreography review, audition prep, and specific skill practice. There are a limited number of dance private lessons available each semester. Dance private lessons are not guaranteed and are based on instructor and studio availability.
